The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Since I left Penn State in 1964, I received an M.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1965 and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from The Ohio State University in 1972. My career has included being a classroom teacher in senior high schools, an assistant principal, an assistant dean in a school of allied health professions, and a manpower and training analyst for defense contractors providing support for the US Navy. I have also been a part-time instructor in MBA Programs and Real Estate Investment Programs. I am currently semi-retired, living in Boca Raton, FL, golfing and teaching. I have one son who is a CPA who lives in Boston, and he is getting married in Aug. 2009. As an education specialist, I have been able to work with subject matter experts who knew their jobs but needed assistance in developing training programs and teaching them. I have been fortunate to have worked with automotive and nuclear engineers, military personnel, executive managers, real estate professionals, and others. One highlight of my career was working with NASA scientists and being given the opportunity to, "pilot", a Space Shuttle training simulator while I was consulting at NASA in Houston, Texas. It was an experience of a lifetime, and I will never forget feeling the "G" forces and viewing a simulated picture of the earth as I was moving away from it.
